Thomas W. CLARK
Tom has practiced law in Pocatello, Idaho for 23 years. He grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He got a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Business Finance with minors in Accounting and English in 1980. He graduated from the University of Idaho Law School in 1983 and was admitted to practice before all State and Federal Courts in Idaho (1983), the United States Tax Court (1985) and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (1995). Tom practiced as a Public Defender for 6 years. He served on the Sixth District Bench/Bar Liaison Committee 1995-96, and as President of the 6th District Bar Association 1996-97. He has also been a member of the Portneuf Inn of Courts from 1996 to present, President of that organization 2000-01 and member of the Exclusive Board 1999 - present. He is also a member of the Pocatello Rotary Club 1988 to present, Board Member 2004-06, Vice President elect 2007-08 and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Tom has also served as a volunteer in the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster, Varsity Coach, Venturing Crew Advisor, Wood Badge participant and staff member and recently received the Silver Beaver Award and is a James E. West Fellow.
During Tom’s 23 year legal career, he has tried over 400 Social Security Disability cases and is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives. He has also handled numerous Worker’s Compensation cases, several of which have gone to hearing before the Idaho Industrial Commission. Tom has also tried several personal injury cases and criminal cases, one of which he argued before the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Early in his career, Tom tried numerous family law cases, one of which he argued before the Idaho Court of Appeals. He also has done hearings in U.S. Tax Court.
Tom and his wife, Camille, have been married 28 years and have five children and two grand children. They enjoy spending time with their family in a myriad of activities.
