Dave R. Gallafent
Dave Gallafent has over 30 years of experience in the practice of law. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1972 with a B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, and earned his law degree with honors from George Washington University in 1975. Mr. Gallafent was admitted to the Idaho bar in 1975 and thereafter has practiced continuously with Merrill & Merrill, Cht. In the early years of his career Mr. Gallafent’s practice included insurance defense and commercial litigation. For the last several years, his practice has been primarily in transactional work and counseling clients in matters involving business law; entity formation, real estate, secured transactions, probate and estate planning. Over the years Mr. Gallafent has organized many corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, has counseled many business clients, and has drafted countless contracts. He has also drafted many wills and trusts and probated numerous estates. His experience in commercial litigation enhances his skills as a business lawyer. Dave is a member of the American Bar, Idaho State Bar and Sixth District Bar Associations, serving as its president of the Sixth District Bar in 1986-1987. Mr. Gallafent is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell. In the community Mr. Gallafent has served as president of the Idaho State Civic Symphony and the United Way and was on the board of directors of both organizations for many years. He currently is a member of Rotary Club and is on the board of directors of the Kasiska Foundation.
